01Scope and operator

Clip Queue is a private, single-operator tool for discovering Twitch clips, reviewing them, and preparing selected videos. It is operated by Clip Queue operator. The application is not offered to the general public, has no public registration, and does not accept customer accounts. These public pages describe the tool; access to them does not grant access to the private application. This policy also covers public-page visitors and information about creators or other people appearing in processed clips.

02Information handled

  • Clip information: public Twitch clip IDs, titles, creator and broadcaster names, game/category, thumbnails, timestamps, duration, view counts, and calculated popularity metrics.
  • Review information: approval or denial decisions and timestamps, operator-entered titles, selected start/end times, processing status, webcam crop coordinates, and error messages.
  • Media: approved source videos, extracted frames, temporary title graphics, and final vertical composited videos. Video and audio may contain identifiable people, usernames, voices, or on-screen messages.
  • Connection information: API credentials and, when a connection is enabled and authorized, OAuth access/refresh tokens and limited account identifiers or display names. The tool does not request the operator's Twitch or TikTok password.
  • Device and technical information: pairing/session information, essential browser storage, and technical information received when serving requests, such as IP addresses, request paths, and errors. Operational logging depends on hosting configuration.

03How information is used

Information is used to discover and rank clips, maintain the review queue, remember decisions, authenticate the operator's devices, preview footage, process approved selections, store completed videos, diagnose failures, and protect the application. Public policy pages have no forms, advertising, analytics scripts, or tracking pixels. The tool does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

04Review playback and AI processing

During review, the device streams original footage directly from Twitch using a temporary playback URL. Buffering nearby clips occurs on the device; the backend does not download or composite pending clips. After approval, the backend downloads the source and sends a resized still frame from the selected starting point to the OpenAI API to locate the webcam panel. This frame can contain faces, chat, and other visible information even though the requested crop excludes chat. The tool uses the result to crop and compose the video; it does not identify people, create identity profiles, or use face recognition. The API request sets store: false; this does not mean the provider retains no information under its own policies.

05Service providers and platform connections

  • Amazon Web Services: hosts the backend and its data on EC2 in the United States. When S3 archiving is configured, only final vertical composited videos are stored in a private S3 bucket; original source videos, review previews, detection frames, and title graphics are not uploaded to S3. Authorized playback may use time-limited signed URLs.
  • OpenAI: receives the selected still frame and detection instructions for webcam localization. OpenAI Privacy Policy.
  • Twitch: supplies clip metadata and original playback. Direct playback sends the device's network requests to Twitch or its delivery providers. Twitch Privacy Notice.
  • TikTok: posting integration is currently disabled. If enabled later and authorized by the operator, TikTok may receive account-authorization requests, final selected videos, and posting information required by the chosen API flow. Connecting an account does not by itself authorize every future upload. TikTok Privacy Policy.
Providers handle information under their own terms and policies. Processing may occur outside a person's country of residence. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to address security, unlawful activity, or rights complaints.

06Cookies, security, and retention

The private phone app uses an essential session cookie and browser local storage to remember a paired device. Device sessions currently have no automatic expiry; clearing browser storage removes the local copy, and the operator can invalidate server-side sessions. Public policy pages do not set application cookies or use local storage. The hosted site uses HTTPS. Stored connection secrets are encrypted at rest by the application, with the decryption key kept on the same server; this is a safeguard, not a guarantee against server compromise. Access to the queue is restricted to paired devices or the local administrative interface.

Queue records, decisions, approved sources, extracted frames, and final videos are retained until the operator removes them or changes the retention configuration. There is no automatic deletion schedule or S3 lifecycle expiry. Earlier S3 render revisions may remain after a rebuild. Provider retention, logs, and any backups are governed by their respective configurations or policies. Removal from this tool does not automatically remove content already published on an external platform.

07Requests and choices

The operator can disconnect platform permissions through the relevant platform and remove local credentials, sessions, records, or media. A creator or other person whose information appears in the queue can contact dustyberkley@gmail.com to request access, correction, deletion, or removal of a clip. Include the relevant clip URL and enough information to locate the record; avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. Requests will be reviewed and identity or authority may need to be verified. Applicable privacy rights depend on the person's location and the nature of the processing; requests may be subject to legal or technical limits. The operator can remove information held by this tool but cannot control records held independently by Twitch, TikTok, or other providers.

08Children and changes

The private application is not offered to children or the public and does not solicit information directly from children. Public source footage may nevertheless depict young people. Concerns about such footage can be sent to dustyberkley@gmail.com. This policy will be updated when practices materially change; the date above identifies the current version. Questions about this policy or the operator's processing can be sent to dustyberkley@gmail.com.
